In the field of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or high technology industries, the protection of certain manipulations is important. In biomedical environments, for example, protecting all kinds of biological samples helps you avoid contaminants as well as particles from the surrounding environment. Thus, when protection is well executed, your manipulations are safe from contamination, and so are you. To ensure this protection, Noroit Labo provides laminar flow hoods. So, why should one choose these hoods?
What is a laminar flow hood?
Microbes and bacteria are present everywhere. In the water we drink, in food, in workspaces… Despite this, the manufacturing of certain products requires solid protection against these microbes for the quality of said products. To achieve this, the manipulations carried out during the manufacturing of these products must take place in sterile environments. This is where the need for laminar flow hoods comes into play to accomplish this feat. If you didn’t know, Noroit’s laminar flow hoods are known to be very effective. They include the horizontal flow hood Olis and the vertical flow hood Loïs.

The horizontal flow hood Olis, a very reliable and ergonomic equipment
The Olis hood from Noroit Labo is the perfect equipment to imperatively avoid contaminating various types of samples during their manipulations. This hood is extremely useful in the fields of microelectronics, optics, or space-type applications. It can also be significantly useful in pharmaceutical industries, implant production, and the handling of sterile items…

To this end, the Olis hood is manufactured according to exceptional specifications. It offers a laminar flow of 0.40 m/s across the entire manipulation area. It allows for G3 pre-filtration and HEPA 14 absolute filtration. With the Olis hood, you have the option to directly measure the flow using an anemometer and a timer that displays the usage time of the hood in real-time.
Moreover, this hood features a user-friendly control panel for powering on via an electronic key and also shows the flow speed. The Olis hood offers an optional gas solenoid valve that can be controlled by foot pedal, devices for side transfer, gas taps, and electrical outlets that are protected by individual fuses.
The vertical flow hood Loïs, ensuring maximum protection and quality
The Loïs hood, on the other hand, offers almost the same services as the Olis hood. However, here, the integrated laminar flow is of class IS05 at the working volume. In other words, the Loïs hood guarantees during all manipulations, less than 100 particles of 0.3 µm per cubic foot, in compliance with the ISO 14644 standard.
Available in four versions, it features a low alarm threshold of 0.35 m/s and a high of 0.45 m/s, in accordance with EN12469, with a high air flow rate that renews every 4 to 5 seconds. It also has a unique storage device for the front panel under the hood, as well as a front glass tilted at 25 degrees.
